Native American Unit Wrap-Up

Students will finish their Native American presentations and take an open note quiz on Monday. Grades for presentations are being entered in the grade book on Monday (remember to check edline!) After presentations and quiz, students will complete a self grade sheet and a peer grade sheet.

DOL, Writing Workshop and all things LA

Please remember to bring your DOL sheet every day this week to class (students will receive this sheet on Monday, and DOL for each day will be posted on the blog, so if you are absent, check here and complete each days assignment. In addition to DOL, we will be working writing assessment attack plans this week. How to read a prompt, brainstorming and introductions (most of this is review from term 1).

Parent-Conferences

Conferences are upon us once again. These conferences will take place in teacher classrooms on Thursday from 4:30-8pm and on Friday from 7:30-11:30a We are asking parents to keep conferences with each teacher to under 10 minutes as we wish to allow as many parents as possible the opportunity to conference with teachers.

Superheros have HEART

The annual MVMS Canned Food drive is here. This week and next, bring in non perishable food items, as well as toiletries. All donations will support Newberg FISH. The theme for our food drive this year is "Superheros have Heart" as it begins on Valentine's Day and ends on Superhero dress up day. Those that bring in the most food will receive MV Superhero status which includes front of the lunch line passes, ipod at lunch passes, a VIP lunch table and special superhero capes to wear to the dress up day on Feb 25.
