Where is Miss Bryant?!?!?!

Ahoy mateys.

Hopefully I will be back at school on Tuesday.  Despite my best efforts to sanitize and disinfect every inch of the world that I come in contact with, I have managed to pick up the bug that is going around our school. I have been home and in bed sick since Thursday.  Today I'm feeling a bit better, and hopefully I'll be well enough to join you tomorrow!! Remember that conferences are Wednesday evening 4-8pm and Thursday from 12-8pm.

We'll be goal setting all day Wednesday for our conferences.

See you soon!!!

Greetings!

I apologize for not updating last week.

Here is what we've been up to in core:

1. Spelling: first spelling list and test of the year happened last week. Remember that in order to be a "super speller" and earn that cat cash that students need to spell the required words and the challenge words correctly!

2. Landforms: this week we focused on landforms in Social Studies.  Students took landform notes, played a landform match game, and landform bingo.  Today in class students took the landform quiz. **Remember that quizzes can be taken a second time for additional credit by appointment only.

3. Homophones: Also this week, students completed many homophone activities. We also watched THIS VIDEO which while cheesy, is a student favorite!

4. B.A.R.F. (Book Analysis and Reflection Form) is due on October 15th!

5. Students visited the library today to check out a mystery or adventure book.  This book must be at their level, at least 150 pages and finished by November 12th.

6. Reading Log: this week's reading log will be collected on MONDAY OCTOBER 12th

7. Detectives! This week students discussed adjectives and created detectives who will work for the Darth Tater Agency all year.
