This Week in CORE
Hi All.
This week...
Language Arts:
1. Our top priority is to finish our writing assessment: Design Star. This will be due on Friday
2. Remember that READING LOGS are due ON FRIDAY!!
Social Studies:
This week we will earn how to read and understand maps and globes. We'll also look at hemispheres and oceans, as well as the 7 continents.
Reading:
AM students will have their first day of reading on Friday, September 25th 2nd period
PM students will have their first day of reading on Thursday, September 24th 5th period
Have a GREAT week and as always GO BEAVS!

This week in CORE 9/14 - 9/18
Whew, the first week is behind us and we are well on our way to an AWESOME school year!
This week in core students will be assessed in reading and writing (so that we can accurately place them in the proper reading class). In addition to these assessments, we will become acquainted with the world of mapping, reading log bookmarks AND on Friday we will talk like pirates!

The week in review
What a great first week we've had!!
We began on Tuesday with locker practice, tours and getting to know you activities. On Wednesday all students read the school handbook and received a copy to keep in their binder. Thursday we played with magical words and worked in our writing notebooks for the first time and on Friday we toured the library and began our reading assessments.
Next week things will begin to pick up so relax, renew and enjoy the lovely sunny weekend!!
