Moontastic

I have to go to work tomorrow and chances are you don't...so, you should check out the lunar eclipse early early in the AM Tuesday morning. The moon will be red and it should be awesome. I may set my alarm and try and check it out at 2:52am, if not I'll see it on the news in the morning like all the other "old" people.

Here's a link to a story about the eclipse in today's Oregonian.

and HERE is a link to the NASA eclipse page.

Easy as 1-2-3

Ahoy!

My summer is officially over, as I am typing this from the classroom. It was a very low key, laid back, relaxing summer break and I am definitely ready to get back to work! I'm looking around the room and noticing that there is a lot to get done before Tuesday, when school starts. As promised on the last day of school, I'm putting out the call...if you want to come help me get organized, drop me a comment and I'll get back to you. I have meetings all day Tuesday, and on Wednesday morning, but Wednesday afternoon and Thursday are free...so come on down (just be sure to let me know first)!!

Savor your last few days, get lots of rest and start organizing those pencils...it's that time again!!

Here are 2 pics from my summer break. The first one is my sister and I at her graduation from Oregon State, and the second is my two best friends and I at the University of Oregon graduation.

Harry Potter MANIA!

July 27, 2007: Finished the book. I really enjoyed the way that the book completed the series. I hope that those of you who got the book are enjoying it!

July 21, 2007: I got the book! I waited in line for a bit, and attended the release "party" at Bridgeport. I 've never seen so many people waiting for anything, pretty cool that what they were waiting for was a book!!

July 12, 2007: I saw the movie!
Well, I saw the movie...midnight at Bridgeport. The movie was great! They did leave out some plot points (which always happens when books get turned into movies), but it was worth seeing. Anybody seen it yet? Thoughts?

What was not very fun, was having to wait in line for hours in the hot hot heat! The theatre sold out all 18 screens and there were over 3000 people waiting in line to see the movie. 3000 people huddled together makes things a bit warm, but with the temperature at 100 degrees, you can bet it was pretty unbearable!
