Today all students participated in the International Federation of Characters Conference (a book conference simulation). I was very pleased and impressed with the amount of work that the students put in to the conference. The featured speakers researched the topic of meeting challenges and both gave thoughtful speeches. The events planners and conference managers put in a lot of work before the conference and during the conference, organizing break out sessions, food and name tags. The facilitators worked hard to prepare materials for their break out sessions. Students came in costume, brought artifacts from their books, made name tags and discussed what it takes to meet challenges.
Thank you to everyone who helped with the conference, it was a success!!
