Today's Class: April 23rd

Here is what happened in class today:

This Week's Calendar
Remember that portfolio conferences are this week. Please bring your parent/guardian to conferences during your scheduled time to share with them all your hard work!

Canada Presentations
Canada Presentations are finally done! AM Core's map is already up on the wall and PM will be putting theirs up tomorrow.

Canada Test
The Canada test was given today, students could use their presentation notes. This was a challenging test (with many student complaints), if you would like to make up any test I have given, please do so ASAP.

Central and South America
With Canada behind us, we will be studying Central and South America. Your first task is to complete the Central and South America map packet. The first two pages need to be colored and all countries need to be labeled. Pages three and four are physical maps, please follow directions and fill them out accordingly. This packet is due on Monday, April 30, 2007. The first map quiz will be on May 1st!

Book Conference
For the last book report of the year, students will be completing a simulation called the International Federation of Characters Conference (IFCC). This conference will allow students to role play a character from their book as they discuss the focus topic of "meeting challenges" The book conference will begin on May 9th and all materials are due in class on May 8th.

**Don't forget to finish your portfolio letter, it is due on Wednesday (4th period only)!!

Have a great day!!!
-Ms. B
