Summertime, and the living is easy

Ahoy Summer Readers!

I can't believe that it is July 1st already! I am getting pretty excited about the various Harry Potter books and movies that are coming our way over the next few weeks (you can see to the right I've added a list of important Ms B events this summer).

I hope that you all are having a relaxing summer and that you are taking a break from skateboarding and video gaming to find at least a few minutes to read something wonderful. I am trying to catch up on all the reading I did not have time for over the school year...but, it's a bit difficult as I just got a Nintendo DS and I can't seem to put it down!

Check out the calendar, and maybe I will see a few of you at some of the events I've listed (especially the fireworks July 28th...I never miss them!!).

Have a safe and Happy July 4th!

PS. Has anyone seen Ratatouille yet? I'd like to know if you liked it before I pay $9 to see it myself! :)

We know what we are, but know not what we may be.

Wow! It has been such an eventful year for us here at Mountain View. It seems like just yesterday you were walking in to my classroom nervous and excited about the experiences that you would soon have in 6th grade...and now, you've walked out of my door for the last time.

I have learned a lot this year, and I hope that you have as well. We've worked hard and managed to have some fun in between. I hope that you have enjoyed this year and that you have learned, not only about maps and books and charts, but also how to talk to friends and solve your problems. I feel confident that each and every one of you have developed the skills you need to be successful in the seventh grade and I cannot wait to see what great things you will do next year!

Have a wonderful summer, and remember to check the blog every once in a while, as I will keep you updated on all things Harry Potter movie and book. Don't forget to leave your comments, I love hearing from you! Be on the lookout for a post in August where I will ask you in to help me out with my classroom for next year's 6th grade class! Have a super summer, and don't forget to READ READ READ!
