Did you see it?!

Good Morning Percy Jackson fans...

Did anyone out there in blog land go see the movie Percy Jackson and the Olympians this weekend?  

I did.

It was HORRIBLE.

Nothing at all like our beloved book. I was very disappointed. Characters were left out (Ares, Clarisse, Enchida, Mr. D), major story lines were changed (no trip to the Arch, no train ride and more), even minor details that should not have mattered were changed (Mrs. Dodds as an English teacher, not a Math teacher, Grover saying Annabeth lines, the camp looking different)...I had such high hopes for this movie, as it is one of my favorite book series...in the end I guess we must remember on very important thing:  

NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS MOVIE!!

If you want to see a great movie based on an even greater book, watch Harry Potter, or New Moon, but please, please, please stay away from Percy Jackson! If you are a fan of the series (and you should be, we read it in class) you won't appreciate the horrid mess that is the movie. Stay home, watch the Olympics instead...you'll see some real Olympians, and you won't be disappointed.
