- Cranberries do not grow in water, but float, so marshes are flooded during harvest time
- Native Americans used the cranberry as a symbol of peace
- 2008's cranberry crop in Oregon was valued at over $36.6 million
- Oregon is ranked 4th int he United States for cranberry production
