This week students will begin work on an imaginative story about underwater adventures. As students write the story, they will use the steps of the writing process to improve their work, and type a final draft in the library next week.
Students will travel to the library to retrieve new books (AM will go Wednesday and PM on Thursday). Students need to be reading EVERY night at home and recording at least 150 of their reading minutes in their reading logs which are due each Wednesday.
Current event #2 has been assigned and will be due Friday for students in AM and Monday 10/8 for students in PM. This time around, students were assigned article categories (world/national/local and topic areas general news/science and health/business and finance/arts and entertainment/sports). Newspapers are available daily in the classroom or students can go online to find an article.
Students will also begin work on a landform project this week in core. More details on the project will come later in the week (or at the beginning of next week).
Monday night homework: finish latitude & longitude activity "The Internet Spy Network" All other homework for the week can be found at Miss B's page in the updated calendar section.
Have a great week!

Hey Miss B! I can help with some science/health/technology current events for your students. Let me know if you need some for class, or if I can loan out some magazines.
