Landform Quiz: Thursday September 26th

If you missed the landform notes.  Here is the presentation we used in class.  Each student should be able to identify these landform definitions, names, and pictures.  There will be a landform and mapping quiz on THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 26.  Landform notes will be collected before the test.

Assignment:

1. Choose a lanndform from your notes.
2. Complete the "Required Landform #1" box on research sheet using the links below
3. Using the Wikipedia landform list choose a landform that is not on our required list.
4. Complete the "Required Landform #2 and #3" box on the research sheet
5. Done? Turn your assignment in to Miss Bryant
6. Challenge yourself with the landform game.

Retake Policy and Deadlines

Students that score below a 70% on assessments are now required to complete an assessment retake within 2 weeks of initial assessment return.

What does this look like in room 103?
Students scoring below 70% will receive an"Assessment Retake Plan" from Miss Bryant upon return of initial assessment. Students are to complete the required items on the plan BEFORE they can retake the assessment. When the assessment retake plan has been completed, students must come after school to retake the test.

When can I retake an assessment?
Assessment retakes will be given Monday - Thursday after school, or by appointment before school. On days that Miss Bryant has other commitments, students will retake their assessment in Mrs. Raz's classroom.

What if I can't or don't retake the assessment within 2 weeks?
Students who fail to complete the test retake plan and retake within the allotted time period will receive an MDF

Setting

Due Thursday

1.What book are you reading? Who wrote it?

2. Where and when does the story take place? How do you know?

3. Place your GREEN flag on the page that best describes the setting of the novel. Record a brief quote from the book describing the setting, include page number.

4. Could the setting the author developed be a “real” place, existing in our times? Why or why not?
