Welcome Back, Welcome Back, Welcome Baaaaack

I'm sitting here at the 6th grade BBQ taking a break from shaking your hands and trying to explain that there really will be lockers in the hallway to tell you that I'm totally PSYCHED for the new school year! I have enjoyed meeting with so many of you and your families this evening, and I am more excited for school to start than perhaps ever before. Soon enough you will find posts filled with important school related information (assignments, the syllabus, spelling and vocabulary etc etc)...before all that starts let's talk about summer. Summer was AWESOME! Here is a quick photo recap of my summer (for those that know me, these pics won't surprise you and for those new to room 101, I hope these help you to learn more about me!)

My dad and my brother are farmers (and foresters), here I am at my brother's farm:

A favorite pastime of mine is to take my picture with the strangest/coolest stuff that I can find...here I am with a HUUUUUGE guitar in Seattle

My favorite beach: Cannon Beach

Another picture with a crazy statue (and my two best friends)

I look forward to hearing all about your summer, and I can't wait to meet my 7th and 8th graders tomorrow night at our Ice Cream Social -Miss B

This is Our Planet

This is Our Planet from Tomislav Safundžić on Vimeo.

Apparently, they use this music (that would be "Intro" by the XX) for all artsy videos now (remember when we heard it in that pixar montage video?)
