the Olympics are coming!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Olympics are about to start! This is exciting for many reasons but mainly because this year the Olympics are in CANADA! Why is that exciting? Well, my dear young friends, Canada is our next unit of study...which means that we get to talk about the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Each day we'll have an Olympic update in class and we're going to map and learn vocab and do a huge Olympic project!  Why am I taking the time to tell you about all of this, before we even get to our Canada unit?!?! The answer is simple: THE OLYMPICS START TOMORROW!!! Feb 12th!!

So, over the next 2 weeks, please find some time to watch at least one hour of Olympics coverage, or read Olympics coverage online or in the newspaper so that you can participate with us in class.

I can't wait to start the conversation on Tuesday, February 16, 2010! Be ready!
